ECNP Early Career Scientist (ECS) Excellence Award

The ECNP Early Career Scientist (ECS) Excellence Award was established to encourage early career scientists to present a poster during the annual ECNP Congress.

The award
The award winner will be honoured with:

  • An unrestricted prize of EUR 500.
  • A commemorative certificate.
  • An invitation to the ECNP Award ceremony during ECNP Congress.
    Receipt of the award is dependent on attendance of the congress and presenting the poster.

Who is eligible?

  • Candidates must be residing in Europe*.
    *Europe being the 47 countries of the Council of Europe plus Israel and Belarus.
  • Candidates must match the criteria of an early career scientist.
  • Candidates must submit an abstract for poster presentation for the upcoming congress and that abstract must be accepted for publication and presented by the candidate at the congress.

How to apply
If you submit an abstract for the 33rd ECNP Congress, 12-15 September, Vienna, Austria and register as an early career scientist abstract submitter you will automatically be applying for the ECNP ECS Excellence Award.

The deadline for abstract submission is 1 April 2020.

Selection of the awardees
The best abstracts by early career scientists in Europe are awarded the ECS Excellence Award. The abstracts submitted for poster presentation will be judged by a scientific review committee.

Award ceremony
The awards will be presented at the 33rd ECNP Congress, 12-15 September 2020, Vienna, Austria, during a special Award ceremony on Tuesday 15 September.
